Twilight at Bagan Lalang

.

I didn't update my blog for some times. Sorry for that. I just don't know what to write.

But here is Bagan Lalang. It was in March 12 and it was a good evening, the cloud was like something I couldn't explained. It was so smooth and yet thick, the breeze was strong.

I spent a day there and we all had our dinner in a famous seafood restaurant called Senandung Malam. We had to line-up just to choose our fishes! Then, came the rain before we could have our dinner. So, I asked the waiter to pack our food. Late evening, we finally had our foods at my brother's house in Putrajaya.

Actually, they are nice together...

.

Tutti Fruitti and Subway is a nice match! I love both of them.

Can you see small pinky balls in the yogurt? They just pop in my mouth.

I got them both in Plaza Shah Alam. Tutti Fruitti is just in business in the plaza about a month ago.

Beriyani at Bandar Puteri, Puchong

.

I was introduced by my friend to this restaurant last year. In the 3rd visit, I brought my hubby to this restaurant. And yesterday was our 2nd lunch in there.

The beriyani was good and value for money too. Baserr Beriyani. They also have ala-cart in which I ordered/had my Nasi Ayam Goreng and a glass of Bandung Muar. A lunch set for Beriyani Ayam was just RM9.

My hubby said the set was 'generous'. I asked, which one? He said, the basmathi rice was more than enough (and he is big).

His...

Duckling Duck Dark

We had our dinner here a few days ago. This maybe our 3rd or 4th in Restoran Mukmin, Seksyen 19, Shah Alam. Somebody had introduced this restaurant to me a year ago. What i like the most? It's Peking Duck. Yes, it's a Chinese Muslim restaurant and I bet there are Chinese immigrants holding the woks and causing 5 ft flames in the kitchen.

I love the taste. And the price is reasonably cheap too. And then, there is this Tao Fu with saltd egg... We've been in another Chinese restaurant in Shah Alam as well but we had to order a day in advance for the duck. and we have this problem: we don't plan. If we want to eat, we just bump in and order.

Running away from the housing bubble...

Under construction

It's very difficult for us to 'foresee' the future in now rapidly changing world and economy. And therefore, it's very difficult for us to decide where should we spend our retirement lives. But we have decided years ago that we should have thought about the above before we got 40's.

Although it is still early for us but due to the recent economic situation where inflation rises and some subsidized construction materials and cement were cut/reduced from the budget, we must get moving along it. We must move faster before everything is skyrocketting or we are trapped in housing 'bubble'.

At first, Melaka was our choice because we like the way it is managed by the state Government. Also because historical scenic and fast-development value they put into it. However, we changed our mind just a few months ago. We thought we should stay in Shah Alam for a while and if we would like to move later on, we can just sell the house and buy an orchard house in somewhere we like.

We bought a house at Shah Alam outskirt. We will have natural lakes and reserved forest on one side; and city on the other. We thought the location is great and the price is reasonable. Yeah, I said that. We got that opportunity when the original owner's loan application was rejected by the end-financier. Thus, when we took over the house, the selling price remained the same as launched 10 months before. Yes, the price is as before the rulling Government had announced the budget and subsidy cut. Before assumptions on housing industry were made by speculators.

We may not find a house around the selling price we got with the location and space as it is.

Cyberjaya... tranquility in cyberspace

Cyberjaya.

I thought it's a place for nerd scientists, businessmen... And surely, I can find some futuristic architecture. Nargh..!

Tranquility. Blended with soulful activity. I found that in Cyberjaya. But, I should make a disclaimer here: I don't think that tranquility will last more than 10 years.

My brother in law told me that I can try fishing in Cyberjaya. " What??!!!, in Cyberjaya?"
Yes that was exactly my reaction. Then we went to a recreational center where I found 2 big lakes... or abandoned tin mines to be exact. One I cannot fish and the other I don;t  think I want to fish in there for some reasons...

Then, I saw some men carrying a couple of fish nets. I wondered where would they go. I trailed them into a bushy swamp just at the corner of the first lake.

I followed them into the bush and there were ponds connected to each other. 2 of them got into the ponds and stretched the fish net. 10 minutes later, fish like Tilapia, Gourami (Sepat), Lampam and Puyu were caught in the net.

Jalan-jalan cari pandangan, somebody said to me...

It's Sunday afternoon!

Wah! Tomorrow will be busy as usual. But that is tomorrow, tomorrow can wait. There is still plenty of time for me and my family for 'jalan-jalan cari pandangan' as someone said to me long ago which I can't remember where and when. And this time, we bumped into a nursery along Jalan Sg. Buloh, near to Subang Airport.

We found orchids, and we bought 3 'breast-feeding-infants' for RM10 only. They are hybrids, said the young Towkey. Even though the codes written on the plastic containers say they are probably purple, yellow and 'splash' purple (don't asked me what is splash purple!), they might be mixed-up.

'haiya..! no guarantee on color' said the young Towkey.

But I managed to get some pictures of the hybrids, just in case if my mother asked me the color of the orchids. They are 'butterfly' orchids.
